It's not too late to call in to your congressional representative!

Tell your congressional representatives what you think about the proposed restrictions to off-leash recreation in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Remind them that they created the GGNRA in 1972 as the first urban recreation area, that walking and hiking with our off-leash dogs responsibly is OUR form of recreation, and that the proposed severe restrictions are not justified by the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS)/Dog Management Plan.

Upcoming Event April 11th:

There will be a hearing on Monday April 11th from 1 to 4pm at City Hall regarding the GGNRA Dog Management Plan. And there will be a rally starting at 12 noon on the City Hall steps. Please plan to attend both events!

And Ken Weiner, CFDG's attorney, will provide testimony at this hearing. It is unclear whether or not the GGNRA will attend, due to the potential federal government shutdown.

This is a reminder for the hearing on the effects of the GGNRA's draft off-leash policy and permitting of commercial dog walkers utilizing city parks, to be heard at the Land Use and Economic Development Committee. Please refer to the following for details:

Date: Monday, April 11th
Time: 1:00pm (meeting begins)
